    RECIPE: EASTER EGG COOKIE

    Food has it's own ways of bringing people together and we might just have the perfect family bonding activity this Easter! Try these easy and simple Easter egg cookie recipe!

    INGREDIENTS:
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1.5 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon sea salt
    1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
    1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 large eggs
    2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
    1.5 cups candied almonds
    1 cup of pecans (Bassé Nuts)
    1 cup chocolate chunks

    Raw Pecans

    METHOD:
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with a Silpat baking mat or parchment paper and set aside.

    2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Set aside.

    3. Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix. Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Stir in the chopped candied almonds, pecans and chocolate chips..

    4. Form the cookie dough into balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden brown and enjoy!
