Dessert
Warm maple syrup, a soft golden cake, and a rich, buttery sauce all coming together in one comforting dessert.
This is the kind of treat you scoop into… and somehow go back for seconds without thinking.
Cake:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Maple Sauce:
1 cup maple syrup
1 cup cream (or water for a lighter version)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
50g Canadian Maple Nuts Mix
Prepare the Batter
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
Make the Maple Sauce
In a saucepan, bring the maple syrup, cream, brown sugar, and butter to a boil. Pour the hot sauce over the batter without stirring.
Bake & Finish
Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the top is golden. Let cool slightly, then top with the Canadian Maple Nuts Mix before serving warm.
Enjoy
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
